Anita Sarkeesian has been a Canadian and American feminist media analyst for more than twenty years. She's well-known as a public speaking. Feminist Frequency was founded by Sarkeesian. It hosts video clips featuring commentary and analysis of the representations of women that are prevalent in the media and popular culture of today. Anita Sarkeesian was a Canadian as well as an American feminist media critic. Feminist Frequency - a not-for profit website that focuses on the representation of women in pop cultural narratives is founded and is directed by Sarkeesian. Aiming to break down the stereotypes that are associated with females in pop culture she also seeks to bring attention to harassment targeted at women as well as other classes of the Internet environment. Sarkeesian is also a graduate of York University master's in social, political and philosophical thought. Apart from being a popular public speaker, she has given presentations at TEDxWomen XOXO Conference and United Nations Broadband Working Group. Feminist Frequency was founded on the 9th of September 2009 by Sarkeesian, university student who has been interested in issues related to gender and feminism for a long time. The determined young woman was slammed online for launching a website featuring a series about gender and videogames. This attack didn't stop her, but instead strengthened the determination of an activist for women in media. Sarkeesian has been awarded numerous awards for her contribution to feminism. Anita Sarkeesian, a media critic who has won numerous awards and created Feminist Frequency, an educational organization that focuses on the way women are depicted in media narratives.
